DESCRIPTION

If you like to enjoy nature and trekking, this place is ideal for you. The Humantay lagoon is located between the Nevado Salkantay and the Humantay Mountain, since its unique turquoise color generates the interest of foreign and national visitors who, when taking the walk, feel a sense of peace and tranquility, thanks to the natural beauty of the place. This lagoon has a mystical air, which is why different shamans and tourists visit this lagoon bringing offerings to Pachamama, a deity of Inca culture. However, today this lagoon is used by the inhabitants who live at the foot of these impressive snow-capped mountains for their daily consumption.

ITINERARY:

Between 04:20 and 04:40 - Pick up of tourists from different hotels.
04:50 - Departure from Cusco on the vehicle towards MOLLEPATA
07:00 - Buffet breakfast in Mollepata.
07:40 - Departure from the Restaurant towards the SORAYPAMPA area
09:00 - Arrival and start of the walk to the Lagoon
10:30 - Arrival at the Humantay Lagoon. (photos, videos and guided tour)
11:30 - Return to the vehicle
13:00 - Return to MOLLEPATA
14:30 - Arrival at the restaurant (buffet lunch)
15:30 - Return to Cusco on the vehicle.
18:30 - Approximate arrival time in the city of Cusco.

IMPORTANT:

Passengers who live in places with less than 1000 meters of altitude, we recommend that they be in Cusco at least 2 to 3 days before doing the tour, in order to acclimatize to the altitude.
The walk is difficult, for people who do not have experience, but there is the option of renting horses from the residents of the area, these horses can be hired by the passengers at the time of the tour (variable price $10.00 to $20.00 approximately.)
